All hail the disco nap, the savior of your dignity when you’re still standing at last call. The disco nap is a kind of power nap, but a special one. When one takes a disco nap, they have a single goal in mind, to recharge before a night out.
Disco Nap is a coffee bar concept based in Houston which will offer delicious coffee beverages and specialty teas. I was brought on to create a coffee brand identity system that would appeal to the local culture, targeting young professionals and creatives.
Have you ever been to Houston, Texas? More importantly, have you ever been to The Heights, a neighborhood in Houston, Texas? If this logo doesn’t scream The Heights, then I don’t know what “Millennial” means.
From the moment I was hired to dream up (pun intended) the logo for this coffee shop, I knew exactly the direction I wanted to go. I envisioned a disco ball hanging from the moon since the whole purpose of a disco nap is to stay awake all throughout the night. With a target audience of young professionals and creatives, aging from 24-40 years-old, Millennial Pink just made sense for this branding identity.
